New Waves is the debut album from Philadelphia quartet Keepers. The ten tracks showcase a sound rooted in power pop with abundent influences. That's not to say New Waves is light weight. The tracks are well crafted and the vocals have a nice dissonant edge. Flowing guitar lines, background fuzz and a slightly lo-fi mix enhance the hooky tracks.
