Balladur is a french shoegaze band that has just released their debut self-titled EP. Dark, brooding and atmospheric, the seven tracks have the vibe of a smokey basement club on some Parisian back street. Heavy and lush, with very tasty reverb laden guitar licks, haunting vocals and minimalist beats, Balladur evoke a retro post-punk sound harking back to Joy Division and Gang of Four.
