French band Volage have released their debut EP, Maddie, on Howlin Banana Records. Taking a page from artists like Ty Segall and Jay Reatard, Volage deliver six tracks of edgy, psych riddled garage rock, with bits of melodic pop undertones. The lo-fi production perfectly showcases the music, with the EP mixed to tape. A very nice touch in this overly perfect digital world.
