Austin based Mama K & The Shades have released Honey Made, their sultry debut album. Featuring the vocals of frontwoman Kelsey Garcia, backed with an absolutely killer 11-piece band, this is no mere R&B rehash. What one discovers is a super strong group of musicians that move effortlessly through blues, jazz and rock, with virtuostic lines, superlative rhythmic sense and tight performance all around.
