Greek label, Inner Ear Records, brings us, Hotshot, the sophomore album from indie rock band Whereswilder. The vocals recall the sound of Stars, but this band is heavier, with elements of math rock and a nice, albeit quite derivative, retro feel. The guitars are definitely the standouts on this album, with a sterling melodic sense and strong chops. As a whole though, the album is solid, but yet unremarkable.
