The Pulse Of Life is the third album from Chicago based group Killwave. The eight tracks are a blend of synthpop, post-punk and prog rock. With a theatrical flair and out front vocals, the band build a sonic structure that is bold, expressive and ready for large venues. This is not meek pop like Chvrches or Purity Ring, but is the kind of synth based music one would expect from heavier rock bands like Yes and King Crimson. The album is an interesting take on the prog rock from a modern perspective and serves up original lines and phrasing. Stream and buy The Pulse Of Life at the link below.
