Oliver Ingnatius: Citys A Hell


Citys A Hell is the first new music in several years from former Mama Coco's Funky Kitchen collective head honcho Oliver Ignatius. The single is a hodgepodge of  recalling the jugband persona of a band like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, but lacking their folk influences. The track moves to and fro through funky interludes and edgy more post-punk passages. What transpires is an uneven track, that is none the less engaging for its jitteriness.
