Shortcuts is the third album from Indianapolis pop punk band Amuse. The twelve tracks are commercial, formula pop punk, like you would get from any number of bands...Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, Alkaline Trio and the list could go on for quite a while. The album is fast, energetic, catchy and well played. It's also completely derivative, with the band regurgitating all that has been done before without adding anything unique or original. A well written and well produced album from a band that would be better served finding there own voice, rather than settling for clone status.
