The closest comparison one might conjure is the Hold Steady, but that's a stretch. Cheap City are a band that has found their own voice, that they describe as dance punk. The album is a edgy as a narrow cliff road, as raw as a fresh cut and as dynamic as slamming the door on a salesman.
