Gorge is the new album from Lowlands, on Austrian indie Wilhelm Show Me The Major Label. The eight tracks are avant garde takes on a post-punk aesthetic. The album is dissonant and free-form, and will appeal to those that like their music experimental. Commercial song structure is nonexistent and the overall effect is as raw and edgy as a dead razorfish. This is music that is meant to challenge the listener, to shakeup one's perception of what music is and where songform is going. Not everyone's cup of tea, but yet imaginative and risky.
