All Electronica Must Go is the new album from Albany based Cultural Critic, aka composer/producer John Malmborg. The 10 tracks (+ 2 bonus tracks) are melodic electronic music, with deep, intricate synth lines and precise driving beats. Weaving its way from soft, swirling, ethereal electronica to glitchy rhythm driven house, the album is densely packed with interesting synth pads and production flourishes. The songs however, lack the cohesive feel necessary to engage fully with the listener. The album is more a production exercise than a finely crafted listening experience.
