Minneapolis band Porcupine have released their new EP, Carrier Wave, produced by rock icon Steve Albini. The band of Casey Virock, Ian Prince and Greg Norton (Hüsker Dü) deliver 6 tracks of stylish, dynamic indie rock in the vein of Queens of the Stone Age and Swervedriver. Melodic and dynamic, with a nice edge and rawness that make this an EP that stands out from the crowd. The tracks have a nice live feel to them and sound familiar yet original, with tasty guitar work and a rhythm section that's solid and driving. This EP is a definite must have.
